Profile

 The university has 13 departments (for example: politics , Chinese , history , English , tourism administration, mathematics, chemistry, biology and physical education) with 42 specialties (namely, environment protection, Chinese, English, history, tourism administration, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, physical education, economic administration, educational skills, journalism & secretarial course, application & maintenance of computer and computer accounting, etc).

The university has a total staff of nearly 600, among whom there are 94 professors and associate professors, 88 lecturers and laboratory technicians. In addition, there are foreign language experts and visiting professors working at the university. Students at the university are nearly 7,000. Besides, there are some foreign students studying the  Chinese language and culture at the university.

Exchanges and Cooperation

Qiongzhou University attaches great importance to the educational exchanges and academic co-operation with domestic and foreign institutions. Some young teachers are chosen annually to be trained at domestic and/or foreign institutions with the purpose of improving their professional qualities. Some young scholars are sent to institutions both at home and abroad for academic exchanges. Every year, professors and experts from Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc visit our university for academic exchanges, which strengthens the university’s academic co-operation with foreign higher institutions.
