Profile:
Phetchaburi Rajabhat University is located in Phetchaburi province, about 120 kilometers south of Bangkok. Phetchaburi is one of the most tourist attractions in Thailand. Phetchaburi Rajabhat University was firstly founded in 1926 as Phetchaburi Teacher Training School, then became Phetchaburi Teacher College in 1969, Phetchaburi Rajabhat Institute in 1995 when it diversified the functions to offer other academic programs at the bachelor degree level. It became Phetchaburi Rajabhat University in 2004. The university has over 80 years of extensive experiences in teaching, research and community services.
Teaching and Research:
We currently have 7 faculties including the faculties of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Management Science, Industrial Technology, Agricultural Technology, and Information Technology. We offer 66 academic programs at the bachelor degree level, 10 academic programs at the master degree level and 3 academic programs at the doctorate degree level. The university is a comprehensive teaching and research institute with about 300 full-time teaching staff. There are about 10,500 Thai students including 300 Chinese students who came from Guangxi University for Nationalities, Yunnan Nationalities University, Guangxi Dongfang College of Foreign Languages College and Guangxi International Business Vocational College. The first group of exchange student program with China began in 1993 with Guangxi University for Nationalities. We also have the exchange student programs with Douglas College in Canada for the program of Hospitality Industry and Tourism. The university has well- equipped teaching facilities, including the main library, the language and computer center. It also provides the students with male and female dormitories on campus.
