Profile Research and teaching There are 16 colleges with 50 undergraduate majors, and there are 2 first-level disciplines and 40 second-level disciplines authorized to grant Master’s Degree. Presently there are 717 full time teachers, including 104 professors and 217 associate professors. Those with degrees above master’s level amount to 307, covering 42.8% of the total number of the teachers. There are 722 postgraduate students, 12,281 undergraduate students, 1,218 junior college students, 10,235 correspondence college students, 1,010 students in preparatory course. International cooperation The university has been communicating frequently with other countries. Agreements have also been signed with 57 universities and academic institutes of 11 countries. Recent years have seen many exchanges between the university and those of the foreign countries. In April of 2006, the university was ratified by Han Ban of China to run jointly with Mahasarakham University of Thailand Confucius Institute.
