"The 1^st China-ASEAN Education Minister Roundtable Conference & the Third “China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week” will be held in Guiyang

Jointly sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of P. R. China, Ministry of Education of P.R. China, and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province, “The 1st China-ASEAN Education Minister Roundtable Conference & the 3rd China-ASEAN Education  Cooperation  Week” (“Cooperation Week” called hereafter) will be held in Guiyang from August 2^nd to August 5^th, 2010. It aims to further strengthen the friendship, mutual understanding and collaboration between China and ASEAN countries, to promote partnerships among the universities in the region, to provide more opportunities for students’ communications, and to push forward China-ASEAN economic and cultural exchange and development. As one of the organizers, Guizhou University would like to extend our warm welcome to invite you to the Third China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week.

Looking back, on July 26^th, 2008, and August 5^th, 2009, the first and the second “China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week” were held in Guiyang respectively. More than 700 delegates from 40 ASEAN universities, educational administration agencies, embassies and UNESCO, ASEAN Secretariat, AUN, FISU, as well as around 60 Chinese universities had participated the two “Cooperation Week”. “China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week” has witnessed its fruitful achievements with its sound activities as “China-ASEAN University Rectors Forum”, “China-ASEAN Youth Arts Festival” etc., and numerous agreements on strengthen bilateral and multi-lateral educational cooperation and communication reached by the participants.

From August 2^nd to 5^th, “The 1st China-ASEAN Education Minister Roundtable Conference & the 3rd China-ASEAN Education  Cooperation  Week”will be held again in Guiyang, the “Cool City”. This year, several activities will be held as follows:
