Bansomdejchaopraya Rajchabhat University, Thailand signed a formal contract with Chinese Hanban to cooperatively establish a Confucius Institute in this university in November 2006. After joint efforts and work of both Tianjin Normal University, China and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajchabhat University, the Confucius Institute began to operate on December 19, 2006.
Bansomdejchaopraya Rajchabhat University is the headquarter of the association of 40 Royal normal universities of Thailand. It has been in close contact with Chinese educational area in a long period. With this cooperation, both universities will devote to make this Confucius Institute into an important base of Chinese teaching talents in Thailand.
