On April 28, 2008, a Chinese singing contest  was held in Zhaohui Campus, Zhejiang University of Technology. Titled with “Ready for Olympics”, the contest attracted over 100 foreign students from 100 countries in total. Contestants expressed their best wishes to Beijing Olympic Games. Li Minyu and Li Haimei, both from Korea, shared the first place.    

In recent years, Zhejiang University of Technology put a lot of emphasis on the extra-curricula activities of international students. Through the establishment of various organizations such as Foreign Students Union, Basketball Club, together with tours in scenic spots, the school provided  them great opportunities for social and off-campus activities of great influence.
