Dear Dad and Mom, How’s going? I’ve already been accustomed to study and life here, so please do not worry about me. I miss you very much! Your words are always in my mind, and I promise you I’ll never let you down. I engaged myself in the study as soon as I arrived thailand, because everybody here looks so diligent and competitive. In September, I was selected as the vice-president of the Chinese Students’ Union to organize the flag-raising ceremony on Oct.1st. I only saw this significant activity on television before. I failed to expect that I would become part of it! At last, we fullfilled the tasks as expected. And the officials from the Chinese Embassy to Thailand highly praised us and invited us to attend the 52th Anniversary Reception held by the embassy. In the Reception, I was introduced to the Vice-president of Thailand, mayor of Bangkok, the ambassador of China and the director of the News Agency Branch of Thailand and I had a photo taken with them, which recorded the exciting moment.
I lived on the fifth floor of the Boarding Building. I shared a room with another student. The room is equipped with fridge, air-conditioner, computer, and television. There is also a football field and a standard tennis court on the campus.
After I went to Bangkok, I became more outgoing and braver, I got along with some students from different countries. My life here was colorful and meaningful. Thailanders are very friendly and kind. I have a good Thai friend, whose father is a Chinese. A few days ago, he took me to a beautiful island and we had a very wonderful time that day.
Besides my six Chinese friends, people around me are all foreigners---Australian, Japanese, Korean, German and African. When getting on with people of various cultural backgrounds, it is very important to respect others and to take pride of yourself. Though we are not living together now, I miss them every minute.
Please take care of yourself! I will work hard here, and make you proud of myself.
