Programs Master and Doctoral Admission
Admission to Master program requires a good Honor at Bachelor's degree or equivalent and in the subject or related discipline. For Doctoral program, candidate must display an excellent record and capability in conducting academic research. As one of the leading research university, UI is fully committed to the scientific advancement. In addition, Master and Doctoral programs require candidates to demonstrate readiness to study through a specific standard of achievement in: A common placement examination (eg., the subject GRE, GMAT)
A program-administered placement test in the relevant field (which may also consist of a structured interview to test the candidate's understanding of the field)
Tuition Fee
UI students are expected to be fully engaged in their academic programs so that they can complete their academic programs as had been scheduled. Hence, undergraduates and graduates students are expected to carry a full-time academic load and to pay the requisite regular tuition rate. International students pay tuition fees for study at the UI subject to different prices varying from undergraduate, graduate and professional (specialist) programs.
Listed below is the 2008-2009 schedules of fees per semester for undergraduate, graduate and professional (specialist) students on the UI campus. Students admitted to certain professional schools are assessed a Professional Degree Fee in addition to the fees listed. If you are an International exchange student, you will have your tuition fee waived, but you must pay for the living cost in Indonesia. If you are a Non-Exchange student, you are required to pay tuition fees as well as the Mandatory Miscellaneous Fees. Fees are subject to change. More Tuition Fee:

A copy of high school certificate (minimum) to register BIPA Program and Program S1, or S1 diploma to register Master Program, or Master diploma to register Doctor Program that has received full legalization by a school authority
SAT
TOEFL ITP (minimum score of 550 for undergraduate programs, 600 for graduate programs), or IELTS (minimum score of 5.5 for undergraduate programs, 6.0 for graduate programs)
A copy of grade transcript from the origin institution of the applicants
CV/ Bio data
2 (two) Letters of Recommendation (UI form)
1 (one) Copy of Passport
Certificate of Health (UI form)
A statement letter of financial guarantee (appended by the bank statement) (UI Form) or a statement letter from Indonesian/Local sponsor
2 (two) Current Photos size 4 x 6 cm
For undergraduate program applicants: an essay (statement of purpose, explaining the purpose of study at Universitas Indonesia, in Bahasa Indonesia/English, approx 500 words), for master program applicants: GRE / GMAT, for doctoral program applicants: research proposal
Completed & signed law and employment declaration (UI form)
For applicants wishing to enroll in regular program (where lectures are conducted in Bahasa Indonesia): TIBA certificate (or certificate Tes Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing, a Bahasa Indonesia proficiency test, conducted by UI), or certificate of completion of BIPA 3 (a language preparatory class conducted at UI), or study bahasa Indonesia at BIPA program 1/2/3 prior to joining regular program
Completed Housing form (UI Form)
Applicants make payment of registration fee of US$ 30 via bank transfer to the account of Universitas Indonesia:
