On January 14, 2009, Ms. Suchadalong (pinyin), Vice Secretary General of Thai Commission of Higher Education, led a 6-memeber delegation to Guangxi University for Nationalities. Talks were held on the 2nd Thai Higher Education Expo and Seminar as well as the setup of a Thai Proficiency Test in Guangxi University for Nationalities. Rong Benzheng, vice president of Guangxi University for Nationalities and heads from the International Exchange Office, College of International Education and College of Foreign Language and the delegation participated in the discussion.
Vice President Rong extended his warm welcome to the delegation, introducing the exchange and cooperation between GUN and other universities in Thai, China-ASEAN Law Training Base as well as Silingtong Thai Reference Center.
Ms.Suchadalong expressed her gratitude for the reception, and also gave a compliment on the university's achievement on exchanges. She hoped a consensus could be achieved between the two sides on culture, education and research, and futher mutual exchanges could be made in the future.
