Brunei Education Officers Visit Tongji University In ChinaResource:

Bandar Seri Begawan - Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Universiti Brunei Darussalam recently visited the largest campus of Tongji University in Shanghai, on an invitation from the university's International Exchange and Cooperation Office.
Tongji University, one of the oldest and most'prestigious institutions of higher education in China, is a comprehensive university offering courses in seven disciplines Engineering, Science, Medicine, Management, Art, Law and Economics with Architecture, Civil Engineering and Environmental Studies as its strongpoints. The university has developed close links with the industry, and eight of their professors were involved in the planning of transportation and hub construction for the Shanghai Expo 2010. Shortly on arrival at the campus, the Brunei representatives listened to a briefing by Prof Li Zhenyu, the director of the university's International Exchange & Cooperation Office. The visitors were then taken on a guided tour of the campus. Prof Li and Ms Huang Xiaojie (Asia Affairs Coordinator of Tongji University) expressed their belief that the visit by Brunei representatives would help foster closer academic collaboration between the two institutions in the near future. |
