Vice President, Huaqiao University, Republic of China visited KUResource:

 On Wednesday March 17, 2010, Mr. Zhang Yodong, Vice President, and Mr. Zhuang Zhihui, Director of Information Office, Huaquao University, China, paid a visit to Kasetsart University and the Confucius Institute at Kasetsart University. They had a courtesy call upon Associate Professor Vudtechai Kapilakanchana, President, Kasetsart University, joined by Associate Professor Dr. Sornprach Thanisawanyangkura, Vice President for International Affairs, and Mr. Somsakdi Tabtimthong , Director of International Affairs Division. Both parties discussed the academic cooperation after the establishment of the Confucius Institute at Kasetsart University, as follows :
1. President of Kasetsart University accepted the invitation of Huaqiao University to visit Huaqiao University and attend the Board Meeting of the Confucius at Huaqiao University to be held around July or August 2010 as well as the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Huaqiao University to be held on November 7, 2010.
2. President of Kasetsart University proposed to expand the cooperation through other activities such as exchange of researchers and Chinese-Language teachers to Multi-lingual Program under Kasetsart University Laboratory School.
3. Vice President for International Affairs proposed Princess Sirindhorn International Center for Research, Development and Technology Transfer, Confucius Institute, Kasetsart University and Huaqiao University to jointly consider establishing a Chinese Studies Center.
4. According to the plan, HANBAN had to donate Chinese books, tools , equipment and material for teaching Chinese to Kasetsart University for the benefit of learning and teaching for students, staff and interested persons. Vice President for International Affairs designated International Affairs Division to coordinate with Office of University Library in considering for the location for displaying these Chinese books and materials for teaching Chinese.
