CPC committee Secretary of Nanjing University met Lietenant General Franklin L.Hagenbeck of West Point (USMA)
On February 25, 2009, the delegation of West Point, headed by Lieutenant General Franklin L.Hagenbeck, paid a visit to Nanjing University. CPC committee secretary, Mr.Hong Yinxing received the guests and gave a tour to the Institute for International Students, Nanjing University. During the meeting, secretary Hong made an overall introduction of Nanjin University as well as its current international cooperation. Under the circumstances of international financial crisis , President Hagenbeck emphasized the necessity f to cooperate relations with other countries. He also mentioned that more and more West Point students desired to study Chinese in China, which created opportunities for students exchange as well as teacher exchange. While secretary Hong responded that a further specific plan on the exchanges could be in discussion.
After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to the campus accompanied by Secretary Hong.
