Delegation of Japan Waseda University Paid a Visit to Xiamen UniversityResource:

On March 12, the 5-member delegation headed by Mr.Kenji Horiguchi, the Vice President of WASEDA University Japan, paid a visit to Xiamen University China. The visit was contributed to the future collaboration between two sides. Vice President Lai Hongkai of Xiamen University received the delegation. He extended warm welcome and sincere wishes on the academic communications among Xiamen University and other universities in Japan. The guests were also introduced to schools of Information & Technology, Life Sciences, Economics, and Oceanography & Environmental Science. Two sides shared a deep understanding through the meeting. Possibilities of cooperations in specific fields were under discussion. Head of Office of Admission, Zhan Xinli, Director of International Department, Mao Tongwen, and Vice Director of Science-Tech Department, Tan Qinliang also attended the meeting.
With a history of 127 years, WASEDA University is one of the top private comprehensive universities in Japan. An agreement on cooperation in postgraduate program between the Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems of WASEDA University and the School of Information & Technology of Xiamen University will be signed soon.
