The 5th "Indonesia Study in China Education Expo" opened up in Jakarta
On April 22, 2007, hosted by the Service Center of China Scholarly Exchange and China's Ministry of Education, the 5th "Indonesia Study in China Education Expo" opened in Jakarta.
22 universities including - Beijing Normal University and People's University of China- participated in the expo. Mr. Wei Zuyu, director of research at SCSA; Mr Zhou Bin, cultural secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia; Bank of China Indonesia branch director, Ms. Lu Ning; an official of the National Ministry of Education in Indonesia; and Mr.Yang Keling, executive chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, along with other representatives attended the opening ceremony.
The China Education Expo, said Zhou Bin, cultural secretary, is expected to provide a platform to Indonesian youth, their parents and people of all fields to know the education in China when they choose to study in China.
People showed great interests in Chinese universities, lots of them were coming for information and inquiries.
The next education expo will be held in Bandung April 24 and Surabaya 28.
