-Ladies and Gentlemen

-Distinguished Guests

Today it is my great pleasure and honor to be here participating in the “Opening Ceremony of the 7th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week which held in the Guizhou Province, People Republic of China, on the theme "Hand in Hand, Education for the People”. In particular, I would like to extend my gratitude to the secretariat of the organizing committee for inviting the representative of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia to learn and share the experiences in this important moment with all of you.

Through the sharing of knowledge and experience among education administrators, rectors and presidents, experts, scholars, and school principals in this event, Cambodia, member of ASEAN, could get benefit and also tighten the friendship between the People Republic of China and the Kingdom of Cambodia and also with others ASEAN member state, especially in education sector.

In the framework of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC), Cambodia has incorporated the priorities which are in line with the ASEAN priorities including:

-The Promotion of quality and inclusive education for all.

-The Strengthening of the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education, particularly for secondary and higher education.

-The Support for the development of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in country and also in the region.

-The Complementing of the efforts of other sectors in meeting the demands of the economy through lifelong learning and Promote education.

Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen!

I am strongly expect that this high level dialogue will provide huge benefit for all participant countries to share and learn the experiences in order to develop their country in the context of regional and global  integration that we live in a time of rapid change. I think there is no greater form of preparation for new development landscape than the development of education. And also there is no better investment that the individual, parents, and the nation can make than an investment in education of the highest possible quality.

Thus, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has been working on strengthening the quality of teaching and learning at the forefront of its reform efforts by ensuring efficient and effective delivery of educational services to all. The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has recently focused on and devoted greater resources to the reform of national examinations, reforms in curriculum and quality assurance of education sector.
